Mosul, 19 December 2024, the Human Rights Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), jointly with the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR), organized a one-day training “Protecting Women and Girls from Violence and promoting equality” using the theme of the 16 Days of Activism campaign – end violence against women and girls. The event was attended by 20 participants (15 women and 5 men), representing the IHCHR, Nineveh Governorate Council, NGOs, universities, and activists. Participants highlighted the need for collective action to protect the rights of women, children, and vulnerable groups, and to put an end to all forms of violence and discrimination.
