Meet Dr. Lina Elnakka, DDS, MSD
Dr. Lina Elnakka is a periodontist dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centered periodontal and implant care at NOVA Implant & Perio Specialists. She began her dental career in Cairo, Egypt, before moving to Virginia to continue her education and training.
Dr. Elnakka earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2020. She went on to complete her specialty training in Periodontology, receiving both her specialty certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry from VCU in 2023. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident and President of the Periodontal Club, demonstrating leadership and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
Her dedication to research and clinical excellence has been recognized through several honors, including the Billy M. Pennel Award in Clinical Research and the American Academy of Osseointegration Student Award.
Dr. Elnakka believes in the principle of treating patients with the same care and respect she would want for herself. This philosophy drives her commitment to lifelong learning and delivering personalized, compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Outside of the office, Dr. Elnakka enjoys acrylic and graphite painting, spending time in nature, visiting museums, and attending cultural events.
